Yahoo! Briefcase has been shutdown as of March 30, 2009. E-mail notifications were sent to all account holders and a shutdown notice was posted on the Yahoo! Briefcase web site on January 28, 2009. Users no longer have access to any files that may have resided within Yahoo! Briefcase folders.
Launched nearly 10 years ago, Yahoo! Briefcase was discontinued because usage had significantly declined over the years as users outgrew the need for Yahoo! Briefcase and turned to offerings with much more storage and enhanced sharing capabilities, such as Yahoo! Mail and Flickr. Discontinuing the service allows us to focus our efforts on more broadly-used products.
